Policies

W4A is committed to high standards in research, publication, presentation, and accessibility. The following pages bring together the main policies and responsibilities that authors and presenters should be aware of when contributing to the conference.

Publication Policies

W4A proceedings are published with ACM and follow ACM publication policies and research integrity requirements. This page also sets out W4A’s submission, review, publication, and awards policies.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for the originality, integrity, and quality of the work they submit. This page covers authorship, the use of generative AI, plagiarism and misrepresentation, as well as W4A’s expectations regarding scientific quality and contribution to the field.

Presenter Responsibilities

Presenters are expected to make both their slides and their presentations accessible and to follow the timing and technical arrangements established for the conference. Clear and accessible communication helps ensure that W4A presentations can be followed by the widest possible audience.

Accessible Papers

Accessibility is a key part of publishing at W4A. This page provides practical guidance for creating and checking accessible PDFs, including document structure, reading order, alternative text, colour, tables, fonts, and other accessibility considerations.
