Hi there XXX, We are organising our 5th International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility (Web4All - W4A2008) held in conjunction with the World Wide Web Conference in Beijing, China. The W4A is a small (but growing) cross-disciplinary research conference addressing a different theme each year; this years theme will be 'One World, One Web: Surfers become Designers?'. The Conference will run over Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd of April. We would like you to participate as one of the keynotes and would like your talk to concentrate on web accessibility and the challenges you see the for Web 2.0. Previous keynotes have included Chieko Asakawa (IBM), Judy Brewer (W3C-WAI), Wendy Chisholm (W3C-WAI), Vicki Hanson (IBM), Eric Meyer (Complex Spiral), Bob Regan (Macromedia), you can get further information regarding our past workshops at http://www.w4a.info . The conference differs somewhat from other conferences in that the keynotes are normally supported by a 6-10 page paper (in ACM format). Therefore, we would also ask you to submit a paper to the conference to accompany your keynote. The paper will be published in the conference proceedings, and as an extend abstract in the SIGACCESS newsletter. This years conference was very successfull, all papers were reviewed by 3 reviewers and we accepted 35% of the submissions. We welcomed around 70 attendees from a diverse set of companies ranging from the Governers of the US Federal Reserve to Healthcare Trusts and car manufacturers. We published an ISBN'ed ACM proceedings and selected papers in a Special Issue of the 'Disability and Rehabilitation: Assistive Technologies' Journal. Next year we want to build on this success to create an even better quality conference and we feel that your participation would greatly contribute to this. Financially, we can only offer to waive the W4A conference fee as we only have a small publication budget, however, if your company wishes we would be happy to include them as sponsors on both our website and publications. You can get more details on the W4A Conference at: http://www.w4a.info/ And on the the WWW Conference at: http://www.www2008.org/ Yours, XXX International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility http://www.w4a.info
