We are honoured that you are considering being our Keynote speaker. The W4A keynote speeches are delivered to set the underlying tone and summarise the core message of the Conference Theme. As a Keynote speaker you have been selected to raise interest in this conference due to your high academic credentials in the field.
Typically our keynote presenter speaks for anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes. Although many speakers are honoured to attend the event and may earn publicity in their own right for their presentation, the W4A will pay an honorarium of 200 GBP for your attendance and issue you with a free W4A conference pass.
The W4A conference differs somewhat from other conferences in that the keynotes are normally supported by a 4-10 page paper (in ACM format). Therefore, we would also ask you to submit a paper to the conference to accompany your keynote. The paper will be published in the conference proceedings (added to the ACM Digital Library), and as an extend abstract in the SIGACCESS newsletter.
The W4A is vital, active, and of high quality only through the participation of people such as yourself. Thank you again for your help.
This years W4A is endorsed by the IW3C2 in cooperation with the ACM and its Special Interest Groups SIGWEB and SIGCHI. The general conference is supported by IBM Research, Microsoft, and Google, while the Web Accessibility Challenge is specifically sponsored by Microsoft, and the Student Awards are specifically sponsored by a Google.
