Web4All Special Issue Chair Role

Responsibility

As the special issue chair you will be responsible for the selection of a good quality journal and conducting discussions with them in regard to your editing of the issue based on their publication norms. You will have overall responsibility for the special issue which includes submission selection, the review process and the actual organisation and co-ordination of that issue, including the overall editing and publication of the special issue; often including the writing of the issue introduction. The norm is that the Past General Chair becomes the new Special Issue Chair.

See Mark Bernstein's excellent 'Reviewing Conference Papers' for how to review and why it needs to be a high quality activity. In addition, you should familiarise yourself with our submission policy so that you can make your reviews as high a quality as possible.

The W4A conference is gratis; however flights and accommodation (and other expenses) are not paid.

The W4A is vital, active, and of high quality only through your volunteerism and participation. Thank you again for your help.
