The 24th International Web for All Conference (W4A’27), the premier venue for web accessibility research, will take place in Dublin (Ireland), in May 2027. W4A is co-located with the 2027 ACM Web Conference.
The conference focuses on all aspects of web accessibility. Areas of general interest include, but are not limited to the following: age, cognition, culture, education, emotions, dexterity, disability, diversity, health, hearing, income, infrastructure, language, learning, literacy, mobility, neurodiversity, situation, society, and vision.
Vicki Hanson Best Technical Paper Award
Vicki L. Hanson died Jan. 20, 2026, after a serious illness. She was a strong advocate for diversity and accessibility and had a lasting impact on the establishment of the W4A conference. In honour of Prof. Hanson’s memory and in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of accessibility and her support for the W4A conference, the steering committee decided to name the Best Technical Paper Award as the “Vicki L. Hanson Best Technical Paper Award”, sponsored by Intuit. Since 2026, this award helps us remember her importance to our community.
